Where digital signing saves effort

This tool is useful when a document needs a visible signature but printing and rescanning would slow everything down. You can draw a signature or upload one, then place it on the pages you need.

It is a practical option for forms, approvals, internal sign-off, and quick routine paperwork.

How to place a signature on a PDF

  1. Upload the PDF you want to sign.
  2. Open the signer and draw or upload the signature you want to use.
  3. Place the signature on the needed page or pages, then confirm the layout.
  4. Download the signed PDF when it is ready.

A visible signature is not always a cryptographic signature

Placing a drawn or uploaded signature image on a PDF creates a visible mark similar to signing a printed page. It does not automatically prove identity, protect the file from later changes, or provide a certificate-backed digital signature. Contracts and institutions may have specific requirements for electronic signatures, witnesses, timestamps, identity verification, or approved signing platforms. Confirm what the recipient accepts before signing.

Read the entire document and complete all fields before adding the mark. Check names, dates, amounts, attachments, and the version number. Place the signature within the intended box without covering nearby terms. If initials are required on several pages, treat each placement separately. Never upload or apply another person’s signature unless you have explicit lawful authorization to do so.

Signature images are sensitive identity assets. Use a tightly cropped file with a transparent or clean background, keep it in secure storage, and avoid leaving copies in shared folders. A drawn signature should be clear at normal page size without being unnecessarily large. Do not add a signature to a blank or incomplete document that could later receive different terms.

Review and preserve the signed copy carefully

Open the downloaded PDF in another viewer and inspect every signed page. Confirm the mark is sharp, correctly positioned, and not clipped. Verify page count and make sure no content moved during processing. If the document contained existing digital signatures, check their status; adding a visible mark can count as a modification and may invalidate prior certification.

Add the date or other required information only in the fields intended for it. Keep a copy of the unsigned document and the final signed version with distinct filenames. Send the file through the agreed channel and ask the recipient to confirm receipt. For important agreements, retain emails, audit records, or platform receipts that establish the signing context beyond the visible image.

When strong authenticity and tamper evidence are required, use certificate-based PDF signing or a reputable e-signature service with identity and audit features. This page is appropriate for straightforward visible signing when all parties accept that method. Legal effect depends on jurisdiction, intent, consent, and process, not on the visual realism of a signature. Choose the workflow that matches the consequence of the document.
