Open Edit Text and choose a detected paragraph or heading. The editor keeps the text box close to the original position and lets you place the cursor where the correction belongs. You can type, remove words, change font size, apply bold or italic styling, underline or strike text, adjust color, and choose left, center, right, or justified alignment. Added text boxes use the same familiar controls. When an object is selected, drag it directly to reposition it, use the edge and corner handles to resize it, or use the lower rotation handle when the item needs a different angle.
Some PDFs are made from photographs or scanned paper, so their words cannot normally be selected. PDFGrapple checks pages during upload and applies optical character recognition when usable text is missing. The scanned appearance stays in place while a searchable text layer is added. This makes scanned pages easier to search and gives the editor text regions it can work with. The editor includes a broad collection of popular fonts for everyday documents. When a PDF uses a font that is not available, PDFGrapple explains which font is missing beside the text being edited. You can upload the matching TTF or OTF file, and uploaded fonts remain available in the current saved editing session. If the uploaded font name appears different from the font requested by the PDF, the editor asks for confirmation in the workspace instead of interrupting you with a browser dialog.
Use Highlight to mark a rectangular passage with a remembered highlight color. Pencil creates smooth freehand strokes for quick marks, while Line creates a perfectly horizontal or vertical rule by default. Hold Alt or Option only when you want a free-angle line. Ellipse, rectangle, cross, and check tools help with forms and reviews. Annotations open a writing field directly on the PDF; after saving, hover over the note icon to read its text or double-click it to edit. The eraser samples the surrounding page background so removed material blends more naturally with the area around it.
Create a signature with the smooth drawing pad or add an image from your device. The item appears on the page you are currently viewing, ready to move, resize, and rotate without asking you to draw a placement box first. Link areas work in a similar visual way: drag over the destination area and enter the web address in the field shown directly on the document. Clicking outside a selected item clears its selection, keeping the page easy to inspect when you are finished positioning it.
Crop keeps only the area you select. Apply that crop to the current page or use the same relative area across every page in the PDF. The page preview updates to show the remaining area, and the downloaded file uses the new page boundaries. Manage Pages gives you a clear place to reorder, rotate, or remove pages. Page numbers can sit at the top-left, top-center, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-center, or bottom-right, close to the paper edge. Choose a simple number, “Page 1,” a fraction such as “1 / 10,” or a complete “Page 1 of 10” label. You can also set the starting number, font, size, and color. Enter physical PDF pages to skip as a comma-separated list. A skipped page receives no label and does not consume a number, so the next available page continues the sequence naturally.
Search locates matching words instead of selecting an entire paragraph. Changes are saved automatically while you work, including uploaded fonts, page order, crop settings, page numbers, and placed objects. If the page is refreshed, the saved session can be restored. Use Undo and Redo when you want to step through recent changes. When the document is ready, download a finished PDF, print it, or reduce an oversized result with the PDF compressor.
