Animated GIFs are convenient for quick reactions, demonstrations, banners, and looping illustrations, yet many publishing systems handle ordinary video more efficiently. This converter rebuilds an uploaded GIF as an MP4 that can be played in modern browsers, presentation software, messaging apps, learning platforms, and social publishing workflows. The movement remains in its original order, the canvas is never stretched into a different shape, and the completed file opens in a dedicated preview tab before you save it.

Conversion begins immediately because this task uses standard image and video processing rather than a background-removal system. Preserve the picture shape without accidental cropping

A square animation stays square, a portrait reaction remains vertical, and a wide banner continues to use a landscape canvas. The converter reads the real width and height from the GIF and calculates the MP4 dimensions from those values. If both sides already fit inside 1080 by 1080 pixels, the source size is retained whenever video compatibility permits. Larger artwork is reduced proportionally until neither edge exceeds the limit. No section is cut away merely to fill a preset widescreen frame.

Video encoding works most reliably with even-numbered pixel dimensions, so an unusual odd width or height may be adjusted by a single pixel. That tiny compatibility correction avoids playback failures while leaving the visible proportion effectively unchanged. The result summary shows the dimensions actually written into the MP4, making it easy to confirm the export before downloading. Starting with a clean source is still important: resizing can reduce an oversized GIF, but it cannot recreate detail missing from a very small animation.

Carry frame rhythm into a playable video

A GIF can assign a different delay to every frame. One drawing might pause for emphasis while the next several frames move quickly. Instead of forcing the entire animation into one fixed speed, the converter reads those delays and uses them to build the video timeline. This keeps deliberate pauses, bursts of action, and hand-drawn timing much closer to the source. MP4 does not contain a permanent loop instruction, so the exported clip represents one complete pass through the GIF.

Most video players offer their own repeat control, and webpages can loop an MP4 with a playback setting when repetition is required. Exporting a single pass keeps the download lean and prevents an endlessly repeating source from producing an unbounded conversion. If the original animation contains only one visible frame, the output will naturally behave like a very short still-video clip. Choose compression and handle transparent areas

Compact creates a smaller download when speed matters more than preserving every subtle color transition. A larger MP4 is not automatically better, so compare the preview with the intended viewing size rather than judging quality from the file number alone.

Unlike a transparent GIF, a broadly compatible MP4 cannot leave pixels empty. Select black or white as the solid surface placed behind transparent portions of the animation. Black often suits stickers, glowing effects, and dark interfaces; white can feel more natural for diagrams, product snippets, and documents. Preview, download, and start another conversion

While the GIF is being decoded, the create button fills according to the number of frames prepared. It then advances to the video-encoding stage and remains disabled, preventing the same browser session from accidentally submitting the file twice. When work finishes, the interface switches to Preview and Download automatically. Use the player to check motion, timing, background choice, and sharpness, then save the MP4 or select Try another to return to an empty converter.

The upload, intermediate frame images, and generated video live in temporary job storage rather than a permanent media collection. Items older than 24 hours are cleared by the site cleanup routine, while application files and reusable resources stay outside that removal area. Download the result you intend to keep.
